Everyone’s favorite bistro
Ask the regulars and they’ll all agree, Kuurna is the city’s coziest neighborhood bistro. It’s rustic yet polished, quaint but grand, and overall ever so charming, especially at night when the dining room is aglow with candlelight. The food is straightforward yet delicate; Kuurna’s turkey confit is almost as famous as its steak tartare, its gnocchis are plentiful and creamy, they’re served with nettles, whitefish and a licorice-onion sauce. Aiming to spotlight the restaurant’s purveyors, the informative menu that changes every other week lists the origins of all major ingredients.
Kuurma changed hands in 2015 when the previous owners sold it to Tom and Laura Hansen who continue to make culinary art within the pleasantly humming kitchen. An evening at Kuurna is exactly what a night out at your fave bistro should be; the staff is friendly, the food tasty and the ambience warm.
