Glamorous lodgings in the noblest part of downtown

Nobis, a palatial converted office block at an impeccable address, is really quite special. Norrmalmstorg, the very heart of Stockholm, is also the most expensive real estate square in the Swedish version of Monopoly. The cosmopolitan feel is evident as soon as you enter the lobby. Reception staff behind Apple screens receive you with a relaxed professionalism, making you feel welcome. Guests are of agreeably mixed ages, languages and styles, and the international glamour factor is high, with the occasional A-listers flashing past. The elegant restaurant is downstairs, a spectacular bar upstairs, and the bistro on the ground floor has a generous pavement esplanade with views across the square. The inner courtyard is perfect for informal meetings. Nobis was designed by renowned architects Claesson Koivisto Rune. Though the regular double rooms are a tad small, they offer plenty of cosiness and comfort. Interiors are modern and discreet, in soft tones. Bathrooms are clad in luxurious Carrara marble and well appointed. There are of course a number of Superior and Deluxe rooms as well, and magnificent suites. A buffet breakfast is laid out downstairs, where things can get a little cramped, but the ever-professional staff make sure that nothing is missing from the enormous spread.
