Passion colours everything
The red-brick building sits right by the E4 motorway. Handy if you’re headed for Arlanda airport, Friends Arena or the Mall of Scandinavia. It’s just that as soon as you enter this place you want to stay. The reception, the winery with its vats and barrels, comfortable seating areas, the bar, the enoteca and the wine dispenser are all right inside the door. An urban factory feel ¬– metal, pipes, brick, concrete and wood – meets handsome, savvy design. The tall, airy space is often full of conferencing workmates, after-work parties and merry couples who want to try the house Tuscan wine, made right here behind a glass wall. Their passion for hotels and wine were what that brought together the owners – the Söder family, with many years in the hotel business, and the Ruhne family, with its own Tuscan vineyard, Terreno. The industrial feel continues in the well equipped and cleverly planned rooms. Brick and ‘grape green’ on the walls, concrete ceilings, cork on the floor, large windows, a smart metal structure as an open closet, and a practical bathroom. Breakfast and dinner are served in the Winery Kitchen; Italian basics in the Terreno Deli. In the summer there are parties on the rooftop terrace with a pool. Wine tastings and guided winery tours can be booked beforehand.
