Family hotel for travelling salesmen

Hotel Flora occupies a building from 1851, was turned into a youth hostel in 1993 and has been run since then by Daniel and Carina Högberg – only today it’s a four-star hotel. Many guests return here year after year on their business trips, not least because of its functional and well-equipped Workspace, where even non-guests can rent a work station by the hour or day. Flora has 70 rooms of various types and sizes, all of them decorated in distinctly 2010s style. Some have vibrant accent colours while others are more restrained. A few have their own doors onto the terrace, for those with some enjoyment time to reclaim; others, designated XS crashpads, are for those who value their sleep time. Some rooms have a view over the shops along Södra Larmgatan while others overlook the square and towards Flora hill on the other side of the moat in Kungs-parken. Guests receive a warm welcome, and the pleasant bar off to the side when you check in is turned into your breakfast room in the morning. Lunch can be had at one of the many restaurants on nearby Magasinsgatan, which is also known for its quirky shops.
