Bergshotellet is a place for people with an active lifestyle. The hotel lies bang in the middle of the combined slalom and downhill bike slope, with views over the Hälsingland forests. Along the front of the hotel is an extensive patio that fills up quickly, season and weather permitting. The first impression is dominated by the large restaurant that ensures you are full from morning until night. Further access into the hotel requires checking in, which is done with exemplary service at the small reception desk. And this consideration for guests’ well-being, we are happy to report, continues into the rooms. Forget about that awful feeling of pulling on damp clothes when you set out on the next day – every room has its own drying cabinet. The extra bed is a clever wall fold-down contraption, but for maximum comfort we recommend the larger family rooms if there are more than two of you. After a night in comfy beds it’s easy to recharge your batteries during the thoughtfully composed breakfast with a local touch.
