Its location may be on one of Ängelholm’s less picturesque streets, but the town’s newest hotel is also its most appealing. The place is heaving on an ordinary Thursday, with guests from faraway places as well as locals filling up the restaurant and bar. Hus 57 is above all a place for business travellers, but there are also tourists here who don’t mind the view (or lack of it). Hus 57 has conference facilities, a spa – and playrooms for young and old in the basement, with ping-pong tables and games. Rooms are attractive, modern, cosily decorated with quality materials, just like the hotel’s shared spaces. Interiors were designed by Spik Studios. Hus 57 takes sustainability seriously, which is why there are no bottles of water in the rooms, for example. The breakfast buffet is full of local produce, and the eggs are organic. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It’s all in the details, the saying goes – Hus 57 has taken this to heart, and with quality-consciousness to boot. Nearby, nice walks can be taken along the Rönne river. Why not follow it out to the sea?
