Omnipollos Hatt

Phantom brewery Omnipollo’s brewery bar is in a small and fun space full of colour and character. The beer list changes regularly (it’s photographed and uploaded to the website so you can stay current) and has around ten beers on tap, mostly from the in-house brewery but also from friendly competitors. A slush machine grinds away on the bar counter – at the moment it’s a Double Peach Candy Popcorn Sour that comes topped with a soft serve. It’s not unusual for the beers to be decorated with sweets, pastries, cereal flakes or other novelties. The non-alcoholic ginger ale is home-made and balances sweetness and zing nicely. It’s the perfect match for Bacon on Crack from the snacks menu – sweet, sticky bacon rind quivering with chili heat. If you want to have dinner there’s a baker’s dozen of well-made pizzas to choose from. Omnipollo also has an equally ambitious, albeit not as packed, beer bar in Gothenburg where seafood accompanies a similar beer offering.
