There’s not a lot of fuss at Drinks 20. The interior is discreetly cosy and not particularly hip; neither is the party-hungry, fairly young crowd, while the guys behind the bar are simply pleasant professionals who do what they do with verve. And what is really hip is that they mix perfectly balanced drinks, and that Iron Lady, a tart, pitch-black concoction of whisky with activated charcoal, is about the tastiest, sassiest drink in town. They also serve them with a good dose of pleasure and know-how. The changeable drinks list is practicably short – a handful of classics and around ten more playful creations. If you’re hungry we recommend a tray of cheese or cold cuts, or yummy crisps with a dip.
