Apropos

It’s easy to miss the entrance to Apropos if you’re just strolling past Sankt Eriksplan, but behind the small door and the drawn white curtains lies a little (literally) gem among Vasastan’s bars. The decor and concept suggest an American speakeasy, with old 78s on the record player, two cramped floors of cosily dark furnishings, and classic cocktails with a twist. The signature drink, Bite The Bullet, is a brilliant sweet-and-strong concoction of Knob Creek, Amaro Montenegro, maraschino, lemon and honey, and their interpretation of a gin fizz is super refreshing, with orange blossom in the lead. The selection of food and snacks is limited but tasty in all its simplicity, especially the anchovies with lardo.
