Kohvik Fellin

Long ago, the town of Viljandi was called Fellin. Fellin was also the name of Viljandi’s best café-restaurant, until it closed last year. So beloved was this institution that the locals and regulars begged, urged and forced its owners to reopen. Now everything is like it used to be. Including the food. Not carefully crafted through the judicious use of myriad techniques, as it was before, but simpler and more traditional, made from the harvests of nearby fields and vegetable patches. Honest and tasty, as it was before, yet with a nod to modernity. The borscht, studded with smoked pork, has a pleasant depth and richness. The beverage selection is on point, just as it always was. Once again, Fellin is the place to visit when you want a good glass of champagne or wine at a price that the competition can’t beat.
